Jobs & Pathways to Economic Mobility
South Los Angeles has a tremendous opportunity to benefit from stronger partnerships between our local schools, community colleges, and the city—especially when it comes to streamlining school-to-career pipelines. Right now, too many young people are held back by bureaucratic barriers that make it harder to access job training or land well-paying, stable jobs that lead to upward mobility.
I’ll leverage my relationships with education leaders to break down those barriers by:
Expanding school-to-career pipelines in partnership with LAUSD, LACCD, LACOE and employers.
Connecting youth and adults to training, apprenticeships, and union jobs.
Helping start new small businesses and expanding access to financial support for existing businesses who are struggling during this unpredictable economy.
Everyone deserves a pathway to prosperity – no matter their background.
